When do you need a new password?
You should change your password when:
You want to renew your current password for security reasons
You suspect your password has been compromised
Your company requires regular password updates
You need to reset your password when:
You've forgotten your password
You can no longer log in to basebox
Your account has been locked
Situation 1: You are logged in - Change Password
If you're already logged into basebox, you can change your password directly in your profile.
How to change your password:
Open Profile - Click on your profile picture or name (usually top right)
Select Password Option - Click on "Change Password"
Enter Current Password - Confirm your identity with your existing password
Create New Password - Enter your new password
Confirm Password - Repeat the new password for security
Save - Click "Change Password" or "Save"
What happens next:
You will be automatically logged out
Log back in with your new password
The old password will no longer work

Situation 2: You are not logged in - Reset Password
If you can no longer log in, use the "Forgot Password" function.
How to reset your password:
Open Login Page - Go to the basebox login page
Click "Forgot Password?" - You'll find the link below the login form
Enter Email Address - Enter the email address of your basebox account
Submit - Click "Send Link"
Check Email - Look in your email inbox (also check spam folder!)
Follow Link - Click on the link in the email
Create New Password - Create a new, secure password
Confirm - Save the new password
Important: The reset link is only valid for a limited time (usually 24 hours).

Tips for a Secure Password
A good basebox password should:
Be at least 8 characters long
Contain uppercase and lowercase letters
Include numbers and special characters
Not be found in dictionaries
Be unique to basebox (not used for other services)
Problems with Password Reset?
No email received?
Check the following:
Spam Folder - The email might have been classified as spam
Email Address - Did you use the correct address?
Wait Time - Emails can take up to 10 minutes
Company Filters - Your IT system might be blocking the email
Email still not arriving?
Try Again - Repeat the reset process
Alternative Email - If you have multiple email addresses

Account Locked or Other Problems?
Contact support immediately if:
Your account has been locked
You notice suspicious activity
The reset fails multiple times
You don't have access to your email address
Security Checklist
After changing your password, you should:
✅ Save the new password in your password manager
✅ Check that you can log in successfully
✅ Re-login on other devices/browsers
✅ If you suspect compromise: inform administrator
⚠️ Important Note: Never share your basebox password with others. Every user should have their own account.
