What happens to your data in basebox?

When you use basebox, various types of data are created. As a user, you have full control over this information and should understand what is stored and where.

Important to know: basebox was developed with a focus on data privacy - your data remains under your control.

What is Stored

In basebox, the following data is used in chat:

  • Your inputs (prompts) and AI responses

  • Uploaded files (temporarily during use)

  • Chat titles and timestamps

Where Data is Stored

Your data is stored locally in your browser and not permanently saved on servers.

  • No synchronization between devices

  • Each browser stores data separately

Delete Data

How to delete your chat history:

Delete individual chat:

  1. Open the desired chat

  2. Click on the trash icon

  3. Confirm deletion

Delete all chats:

  1. Open your basebox

  2. Delete browser data

⚠️ Note: When deleting browser data, all locally stored chats are removed and cannot be recovered.

No, since most data is stored locally, we cannot restore it.
